Like many other people, I am allergic to bee stings.There are many people who are not aware that they are also allergic.Bee stings effect many people in many ways.If a person is allergic to bee stings, it is important they know what to do if they are stung.

Ice is a common remedy to alliviate the pain after the sting has been cleaned and disinfected.A person may require additional medication if the swelling and pain were to continue.Additional antibiotics may be required if the site were to become infected.It is not uncommon for a non-allergenic reaction to last for a few days.Treatments such as those mentioned above should be used in such cases.
A person can get an allergic reaction from some bee stings.Different reactions are experianced from person to person, in regards to insect stings.One serious problem which can be fatal is anaphylaxis.An allergic reaction may be identified by swelling of the tongue, hives, intense itching, dizziness and fainting.An allergic reaction could occur within minutes, but may also happen up to twenty-four hours later.An allergic response to bee stings should be treated very fast.
Watch out for bee stings in children.Itching or burning on a childs body can often be a result of a bee sting, and should be checked.Bee stings can be counteracted with several ointments that are available from your local chemist.It is very important that any child stung by a insect is treated immediatly to prevent the possibility of an allergic reaction.
It is always a good idea to keep an eye on a bee sting for an allergic reaction, even though they are often harmless.
